Leigh is a true blues dance obsessive -
and she couldn’t be happier about it!
Leigh tried every dance style she could as a kid but nothing quite grabbed her until she discovered Lindy Hop, and then her true love, The Blues, in 2011.
The warmth of the community and new found love for blues music inspired her to spend every available weekend travelling to events throughout Europe, taking classes and private lessons with top instructors, immersing herself in the music and the scene, dancing her days and nights away!
As a dancer, instructor, organiser, and DJ, she’s been a well-known face throughout Europe ever since. With a flower in her hair and a smile on her face, Leigh brings a touch of infectious energy to every social floor.

Leigh teaches partnered blues, solo blues, choreo, performance, DJing and blues history both in her home scene in Valencia, Spain; and at international blues events. (Check out the Calendar here) Leigh loves to squeeze every ounce of enjoyment out of every dance, and her welcoming classes are rooted in this philosophy. Community & Events
Leigh joined her local dance committee, Edinbop, and contributed to growing the scene and bringing in world class international teachers. She quickly sprang from newbie dancer to local teacher in just 1 year, and taught her first national event shortly after.
She also knows how to throw a mighty-fine party and is notorious for bringing together kick-ass events in her home scene, Edinburgh, including the love-fest that is The Spoonful; and has had a hand in many other fine events as the Instructor/DJ coordinator, such as ESBF, Crash!, Livin the Blues, and Double Shot. |
Competing & Performing
Leigh´s life has turned into rather an adventure since she found the blues. Highlights from the last 8 years include finding herself in the finals of every partnered & solo competition entered in Europe, and repeatedly winning or placing in the top 3 at events including Berlin Blues Explosion, Livin´ The Blues, Drag the Blues, Double Shot, Suitcase Blues and European Blues Invasion.

DJingSince discovering the blues, Leigh has succumbed hopelessly to its charms. Leigh has passion for the widest variety of blues, and knows how to pick just the right song to keep the floor groovin'.
She's been bringing the essence of the sultry, soulful blues to dance floors around the world for many years and when she's not behind the decks or on the dance floor, you'll probably find her on the hunt for the next track that brings extra richness and depth to her blues collection. |
